the situation

Playing guitar through a computer usually means buying software, installing drivers and fighting latency. Sharing what you play means a second set of tools again.

the thinking

Do it entirely in the browser. Use the Web Audio API for direct monitoring so there is no perceptible lag, then treat streaming, recording and following as part of the same instrument rather than separate products.

what we built

  • 01Real-time signal chain with amp models, cabs and pedals in the browser
  • 02Direct monitoring architecture for zero perceived latency
  • 03Multi-layer loop station and 16-step 808 sequencer locked to the metronome
  • 04One-click livestream so followers can listen to a session as it happens
  • 05Recording, saving and replay on a player profile
  • 06Accounts, profiles, following and a musicians' social layer
  • 07Editorial articles written for search and answer engines
  • 08Product identity and interface system

inside the build

Real screens, captured live. Every page is built to load fast, read clearly and work the same on a phone as it does on a desktop.
